Body Sculpting in Salt Lake City, UTIf you just had a body contouring procedure done at our office, then you may be excited, now, more than ever to get outside and show off your newly slimmed down body. One of the things we encourage all of our body contouring patients to do, though, is to make sure that you continue to eat a diet that’s high in protein and low in calories; that way, you know that you can maintain your results. To help you eat your way to better results (or at least to maintain your results), we have a few tips for you.

Eat Small Meals

Yes, it’s true, meals are everything as Americans. We like to sit down with our friends and family and eat a big dinner to celebrate just about everything (even a regular Sunday). Although large meals are delicious, they are also going to make you eat more than your body needs. Rather than eating three large meals throughout the day, try eating five small meals. The smaller the portions that you are eating, the easier it will be to not overeat and to maintain your results. Remember that a good serving of food is only about the size of your fist. So, if you’re having a bowl of spaghetti, only dish up that amount of pasta as your serving.

Eat Fresh

There is no better time than the summer to eat fresh produce. Whether you buy your produce from the farmers’ market downtown or if you like to go to the local grocery store, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you replace processed foods with fresh, whole foods.

Watch The Carbs

Not all carbohydrates are bad. For instance, complex carbohydrates like whole grains are heart healthy and are also a great source of energy, but processed carbohydrates (white bread, white rice, cakes, cookies) aren’t dense in nutrition and will only add weight to your waistline. Try to eat carbs sparingly and when you do eat them, choose whole grains.

Our goal is to help all of our body contouring patients maintain their slim physique. If you want to learn more tips or if you want to learn more about all of our body procedures, contact our Murray office and call us at (801) 268-2650.
