New products targeting the cosmetic industry are developed daily. Many of the new technologies are specifically designed to tighten the skin without producing any downtime. With the growing number of treatments available, teasing out the useful and effective technology is daunting.

Thermacell, a radio frequency device, developed by High Profile Technologies, is one such new invention. Though previous devices have used radio frequency to treat the skin for tightening, they have be less effective and less consistent. Thermacell has alleviated those problems giving consistent and solid results.

Radio frequency uses electromagnetic energy waves, which travel through the tissue and skin generating heat. Heat affects the proteins in the body inducing contraction. The treatment also stimulates additional collagen production. The sum total is tighter skin, improved appearance of cellulite and some fat-reduction.

The treatments are completely pain free. Remarkable as this is, the less pain or faster recovery guaranteed by a procedure, the less the results for each individual treatment. For optimal results a number of sessions are usually necessary. Best results are obtained when the treatments are close together, two per week for three weeks.
