With the holidays closing in on us you may already have your Christmas list planned out, what you’re going to wear to parties, and you may also have one more thing on your mind: getting a breast augmentation. If you finally want to pull the trigger on getting a breast augmentation but aren’t sure whether or not you will be healed enough in time for the holidays, this article will list a few ways that you can get your breasts and eat your Thanksgiving too.
Come In For a Consultation
The only real way for us to determine whether or not you will be able to get a breast augmentation and have enough time to heal before the Thanksgiving holiday is for you to come into our office and schedule a consultation with Dr. Benjamin Dunkley. Depending on the type of implant you go with, your current health, and the implant placement option that we go with, Dr. Dunkley may or may not recommend that you get this procedure done before the holidays.
Take Time Off
If you really want to be able to get a breast augmentation and recover before the holidays, the best way for you to make that happen is to take time off of work and off of taking care of kids to rest. Yes, that’s right, rest. Giving yourself at least 3-7 full days to heal should really help speed up the overall healing process.
Avoid Heavy Lifting
If you get the go-ahead to get an augmentation and take time off of work to recover afterward, we still encourage patients to avoid heavy lifting for a little while after surgery; including lifting a turkey and kids. Try to get friends and family to help you with the heavy lifting so that your breasts recover fully after an augmentation.
