Dermapen

A better way to improve the appearance of the skin is always sought. With the current pace of life in Salt Lake City, faster recovery is better. A recent innovation to make your skin glow is called Dermapen.

So what is Dermapen? The easiest way to describe Dermapen is as an inkless tattoo. Dermapen uses multiple needles on an oscillating head to vertically pierce the skin. Don’t fret; all patients have a topical numbing medication applied prior to
treatment.

Piercing the skin this way brings about beneficial changes including tightening, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles & definite improvement of scars including acne scars. It can also work on stretch marks making them less visible and minimize pore size.

Dermapen is similar in effectiveness to Fraxel laser, intense pulsed light (IPL) And chemical peel treatments. However, Dermapen is much less expensive, less painful (although some discomfort is involved) and the recovery is minimal.

Immediately after a treatment with Dermapen, you will look as though you have a moderate to sever sunburn. Your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. Within 1 to 3 days, your skin will turn from red to pink to normal (an improved normal). When I (Dr Dunkley) have the treatments, I notice the skin coloration is perfectly even for weeks. I love it to say the least. Final thoughts: First, four treatments about a month apart are recommended for best results.
